Social Profit Grant

Joining a Vlerick programme can be a significant financial investment. The Social Profit Grant is one of the options available to help towards your tuition fees – and we’re here to help you find out if you are eligible. Are you a talented professional who works at a not-for-profit organisation and wants to join one of our executive management programmes? Then the Social Profit Grant might be for you. You’ll discover all the requirements on this page.

What is the social profit grant?

We view business as a positive societal force. To underscore this, we provide an annual grant to one professional in a non-profit organisation. It covers full programme fees for one person joining one of our executive management programmes.

Why do we offer it?

This grant helps to close the gap for companies who have fewer resources to invest in executive education.

Are there any additional costs?

The recipient of the grant – or the organisation they work for – covers any costs outside of the programme fees. This totals €50 a day for people taking part in short-term programmes, or €1,500 for a long-term programme.

Who is eligible?

To apply, you need to satisfy these criteria:

  • You must have managerial responsibilities
  • You must work for a not-for-profit
  • And you must show how participating in your chosen programme will help your organisation to succeed

When is the deadline for application?

If you’re planning to take a short-term programme, you need to apply for the grant at least four weeks before it starts. If you want to take a long-term programme, you must apply for the grant at least eight weeks before it begins.

What qualifies as a not-for-profit organisation?

The company you work for must either:

  • Be a social enterprise with a social purpose
  • Or be a sustainable company which is an entity in its own right,  with a well-defined organisational structure that has a board of directors that meets regularly

In addition, the company must have been founded outside of the public sector
