Dimitrios Kolokas

Dimitrios is a doctoral researcher at the Centre for Sustainable Finance who advises companies on how ESG issues affect their financial standing. He combines sustainability reporting standards and frameworks to explore the connection between ESG performance and a firm's creditworthiness.

His research is based on the latest scientific developments in the sustainability sector and robust methodologies. Firms who follow his approach gain a bird's eye view of their ESG performance.

In his role at Vlerick, Dimitrios has worked with renowned financial institutions such as ABN AMRO and the National Bank of Belgium. As part of a project for ABN AMRO, he created an innovative ESG performance index for SMEs by combining the GRI and SASB standards.

Thanks to his experience in analysing sustainability reporting standards and frameworks, Dimitrios has also developed a training session on sustainability reporting and performance for Vlerick.
